NEW Karate Kid comes out this Summer!

Karate Kid was probably the first movie that ever inspired me to create Grapplers Quest. If you noticed at UFC Fan Expo in July 2009, we recreated a digital version of the original "Karate Kid" bracket on the wall with a 30x30 screen for all of the Men's and Women's Advanced Brackets being updated live for fans. This year, we've partnered with Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California for a $10,000 cash 32-Man tournament on July 10-11 (note: UFC Fan Expo is now on May 28-29, 2010 in Las Vegas), Europa Supershows (Orlando, Hartford, and Dallas) and Mr. Olympia on Sept. 24 in Las Vegas. Look out for the BIGGEST year in the history of grappling and I hope you enjoy the new Karate Kid this summer, I will ;-).

Here are your first official images from Jackie Chan’s remake of “The Karate Kid”. No more “Kung Fu Kid” name change, then? The remake stars Jaden Smith in the Ralph Macchio role, while Jackie Chan steps into Mister Miyagi’s sandals. The setting has been moved to China, and as you can see from the images below, the Great Wall of China has now become a place for what will no doubt be a kung fu training montage. Directed by Harald Zwart, the film co-stars Taraji P. Henson and is due out June 11, 2010.

Here's the first promo video...it looks really good:
