For the 1st time in the history of grappling, Grapplers Quest joined forces with the UFC Fan Expo weekend and showcased the sport to 30,000+ fans!
On July 10th and 11th, 2009, in conjunction with the first ever UFC Fan Expo at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the same weekend as the historic UFC 100. "There were 7,000+ fans in the Grapplers Quest area during the Superfights and Advanced Division Finals, it was great to see how many people have an appreciation for the ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts. I must have ran into 50 competitors who flat out told me, Grapplers Quest at UFC Fan Expo was the best grappling event ever. For once in my life, I wasn't blown away by the comment, I knew they was right," commented Grapplers Quest CEO, Brian Cimins.
Grapplers Quest provided all-day combat for competitors, fans, family and Fan Expo attendees alike. The divisions were STACKED and the largest division had 87 Competitors in it! "Grapplers Quest at UFC Fan Expo was the largest Submission Grappling in the history of the sport!" exuded sponsorship coordinator, John Cimino.
