Since it is new years, well past now I will for the first time set goals for my self to get the most out of 2010. Looking back at 2009, my first year of grappling and competing I could not be more happy with the results and even shocked myself. I won my first mma fight for King Of The Cage Canada at 135 against Corey Knapp what is huge for me. Won Grappler of the year for Edmonton in two different weight divisions 135 and 145 what was the first time anyone has won two divisions for the four part grappling series held by Arashido Martial Arts. Went 24-2-5 in no gi grappling submitting 23 of my opponents while only being submitted once. My gi record has a lot less matches but went 13-3 with 9 submissions and only losing due to points. I won a lot of tournament and even won a intermediate tournament with 4 months of training. I have to thank my brother we worked with me every single say non stop as we got hooked after our first class. There are so many things to work on and here is what I am aiming for.

1-Get physically stronger

2-Improve my grip strength

3-Test for my blue belt in Feb when Master Sylvio Behring comes

4-Work on open guard

5-Go back to basics for striking

6-MORE DRILLING!

7-Work on double leg takedowns

8-Work Butterfly Sweeps

9-Stay active as possible in mma and grappling

10-defend my grappler of year title

11-travel to other gyms more often on days off to learn more

12-go to a major grappling tournament

13-get weight up to 150ish to fight at 135

14-Come a better student and don’t be so stubborn

15-Work guard passing

16-Learn much as possible and not party in my two months in Thai Land

17-Work on escaping side control more

18-Do more private lessons

19-Work on basic’s in Jiu Jitsu

20-MORE DRILLING

21-Improve core strength

22-Work on arm drags

23-Work Jab

24-Have Fun!
