It is here! Sweet! This much anticipated iTunes app (iPod, iPhone, iPad) was released by the Apple store last night. As soon as I found out it was available I snatched it up (insert ‘Snatchin Yo People Up’ joke here). Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed. Let’s start from the beginning.

Every year, the Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Association gets together for a weekend of socializing and jiu jitsu. This year, the event was held in Oklahoma City and was hosted by Rafael Lovato Jr. Members of the RJJA came from all over the world to attend this event and it was well worth it.

On November 7th, 2010 in Long Beach, CA a group of the Lovato Jiu Jitsu team competed in the 2010 No-Gi World Championships. The team has been training very hard leading up to this tournament and their hard work paid off. As a whole, the team was able to bring home 9 Medals: 3 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.

James Head was recently in Las Vegas at the tryouts for the reality television show "The Ultimate Fighter" produced by the UFC. The UFC is the top organization in Mixed Martial Arts and has produced 12 "seasons" of the show. James has a professional MMA record of 6-1 and will be looking to land a spot on the show.

James Head, fighting out of Lovato Jiu Jitsu in Oklahoma City, wins his 6th professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fight at the Bricktown Brawl on June 25th, 2010 by tapout due to strikes at 1:46 of the first round.
