Got back to training on Monday but just been busy getting ready
Tomorrow are the weigh ins for Grapplers X
Not sure what to think of it if its a big event or not
But I am prepared and ready regardless
Rod knew we had this tournament and we had some new people from other gyms in there...
Drilled some odd guard offense involving the bottom using the tops elbow to get various things
Anyways tonight I had 3 opponents
One of which I had previously grappled once
New guy #1 is like twice as old as me used to grappler alot and just coming back
He knows his positions and seems like a wrestler
Gets side control but I shrimp back to gaurd
He tried to pass kind of oddly and I just threw my leg over and locked in a triangle
Tapped and we reset
Once again in my guard until time goes
New guy #2 Dude is a lot smaller than me
I'm 150 hes 130
I have great control the entire time
Time ends with me in a mounted triangle but I had it for a while
Hes been training for a year over at Warrior and they all over there are pretty good
Had we been the same weight I think it would have been really difficult
Down to the third guy
I have grappled him before and last time I think he would have won of points
From Hawaii not sure where he trained there but seems like a good wrestler
I sit back to open guard and I think he got cocky and just kind of messed around
Sure enough I get a triangle and start to lock it up... but its the wrong way...
After half a minute I fix it and start pulling on the head he lifts me and I realize I forgot to hook the leg
But it was too late thankfully and he taps
Reset and almost got it again and time expires..
I have redeemed myself!
So my last meal was 6 hours ago and I hope to weigh in, in the morning
My scale at my grandpas house said I'm 148
So if that is a pound off I still have food to sleep off and weigh myself in the morning at LVAC
If anything Ill be in a sauna for 20 minutes
Looks like I made it guys
But I want a PB&J...
And some nachos already...
