Jason Manly is a Cal graduate and former UC Berkeley track star. In 1998 as a true freshman Manly won the teams MVP honors and moved to #7 on mens top 10 all-time list in the 100 meters.
While attending UC Berkeley Manly not only excelled on the track but also on the mat. Manly trained and competed under the tutelage of Cesar Gracie at the world famous Gracie Fighter Academy where he won 2 Gracie Jiu-Jitsu National Championships, 2 Gracie Open Championships and The North American Grappling Association Championship. Aside from his personal achievements, Manly was a trainer partner of World Champions and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) superstars like Dave Terrell, Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, Gil Castillo and Gilbert Melendez.
Manly, a teacher and leader at heart is eager to bring his brand of Jiu-Jitsu to The Gracie Fighter Academy and to the students and people of Berkeley.
