Getting a Better Understanding of Autism

See video

I wanted to post this video for Friends and Family members who don't have a Child with Autism. The purpose is to give family and friends a clear picture of what parents, children and loved ones experience daily with Autism. Friends have invited me to parties and places to go and many times, I'd rather not go. The reason being is that we have much more to deal with than most parents. It can potentially be dangerous, confusing, or scary for an Autistic child to be in a new environment. I cannot rest or relax in a strange place.

So yesterday's "workout" was a bust... Didn't do anything! So today I hit the weights hard (hard for me anyway, I'm NOT a weightlifter ha ha!) and lifted for strength:

DEADLIFT:
Warmup: 135x7, 135x7
Reps: 225x7, 275x3, 275x3

DUMBBELL BENCH PRESS:
Warmup: 60x7, 60x7
Reps: 70x7, 80x9, 80x2

I had a spot on the 4th set. On the 5th I went alone and was worried I would drop the weights!

PULLUPS:
Isometric Holds, 4 sec down x10, 3 sets

DIPS:
Isometric Holds, 4 sec down x10, 3 sets

Aoki Hammerlock!!!!

See video

Although a little tasteless aftermath which I love Aoki and know there was some bad blood
I find him to be amazing and one of my favorite fighter
This submission was kind of off the wall
He always tries different things and once again I am left in awe

Warning video is a little GRAPHIC!

One of the best things about training BJJ or any type of martial art is that you may go into your lesson having had a bad day - and maybe a bad attitude - but you almost always leave feeling damn good.

For me the 60 or 90 minutes that I spend training is the best "therapy" session I could have as I definitely leave in a better mood.

Today worked one of my favorite positions in gi - spider guard - so many techniques and submissions you can work from it!!!!

And a Christmas present - FLIP - is going to transform my training!!!!!!!!!!!
