Tuesday April 27, 2010 Training

Todays training went great, we worked on passing the butterfly guard. We just learned one pass but it was a tricky one to learn, so I am glad we spent the extra time on it. Then we went to the rolling sessions we did, we did three sessions of 7 minutes (that is normally longer than normal). As mentioned in my last blog I got my first tap and I started to see little openings and other little things. It definitely showed in my sessions today my instructor even said that I looked really strong today and that some of the moves I did were excellently timed.

My first tap

It was on tuesday April 20, 2010.
The person I was rolling with gained side control, but I was able to roll out of it since he didn't have control fast enough and then we started to scramble. I sliped and fell on my back he came in as I was coming back up his head ended up at my side and I went for a guillitine. I came back down with it still locked in and wrapped my feet around his waist. He started to tap. Then it hit me certain little things started to click in my head when we started to roll again and through out the rest of the nights rolling session.
